GST Rates change w.e.f. 01.10.2021

CBIC notifies change in GST rates to implement recommendations of 45th GST Council vide Notification No. 8/2021-Central Tax (Rate) dated 30th September, 2021.

 

The change in rates are effective from 1st October, 2021.

 

Important items on which tax rates have been increased.

  1. Cartons, boxes, cases, bags and other packing containers, of paper, paperboard etc. @12%
  2. Renewable energy devices and parts for their manufacture @18%
  3. Rail locomotives and other items under HSN 8601 to 8608 @ 18%
  4. Iron ore concentrate and other ores under HSN 2601 to 2610 @ 18%
  5. Different kind of pens and parts @ 18%
  6. Carbonated Beverages of Fruit Drink or Carbonated Beverages with Fruit Juice @28%
